First time in over a decade I've had no interest in what's up with the new Ubuntu release. I'll probably have to figure some stuff out when someone at work wants to upgrade their desktop, but it can wait until then.
Looks like they've totally committed to the garbage that is snaps, I hope that can still be ripped out or I'm considering it a totally lost cause.
Geez, I'm a fucking grumpy old greybeard these days. Going outside now to shake my cane angrily at the kids on my lawn.
As the students were leaving for the afternoon, I went out a front door of the building with a colleague. We waved to the buses. As we turned back, we noticed a plant, beside one of the planted shrubs. As science teachers, both turned to look at each other with raised eyebrows. We got a plastic pot and dug up the plant. Then we walked it down to the principal's office. He wasn't there, so we just left it on his desk with a note telling him where we'd found it. He was not happy.
Excellent news - we’ll be hooking this into Matrix’s E2EE as soon as it’s ready, giving full E2EE video conferences at last!!

If you want to share a file with a friend or colleague, you don't have to trust a third party service. You can use OnionShare.
The newest version even lets you publish static websites as onion services.

An jeder Ecke wird gerade Zoom für Videokonferenzen empfohlen. Wer die Datenschutzerklärung gelesen und verstanden hat, wird Zoom vermutlich nicht nutzen wollen. Absolut gruselig.

Here in Karlsruhe it's a bad reality ... I can understand taking precautions ... but what happened here ... they all found this recipe ...
